Livin' La Vida Lockdown Day 59? ( who knows - that's close enough)

Today I can't help but think of our friends in Singapore that still have a way to go on their journey. Homeschooling, parents working from home, all living in very close quarters, intergenerational tensions and a lack of escape to the local hawker center for a quick bite and a Tiger draught.

This second wave they are enduring has impacted the whole region and has served as a litmus test for all. It has also exposed some very uncomfortable truths about their labour market. To see Singapore asleep and empty like this says so much about this virus and its ability to stop everything. Lockdowns are eerie things particularly in cities that never sleep.

What we will look like in Asia at the end of all this is anyone's guess.
